This online webinar features one of the world’s leading food safety experts, Cor Groenveld, talking about the global food standard FSSC 22000.

FSSC 22000 is the certification scheme covering ISO 22000 and PAS 220.

It is recognised by the GFSI and is managed by a not-for-profit foundation. The management of FSSC 22000 is done by the Board of Stakeholders with representatives from food manufacturers, retailers, food service, certification bodies, amongst others.

About the speaker

Cor Groenveld, Global Product Manager Food LRQA

Cor Groenveld is the Global Product Manager for the food services of Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd. (LRQA). He has a degree in Food Technology and worked for 10 years in the food industry before joining LRQA. His background includes being a Quality Assurance Manager, working in product development and production as well as logistics in the confectionery and convenience food industry.

Before taking on his current roleas Global Product Manager Food, Cor has been a lead auditor, trainer and service developer at LRQA.

Other relevant activities which Cor is involved with include:

  • Chairman of the Board of the the Foundation for Food Safety (owner of the FSSC 22000) Website
  • Representative of the Independent International Organization for Certification (IIOC) in the Food Safety
  • Working Group of the European Accreditation Committee
  • Member of the ISO working group for Food and Food Safety standards (including ISO 22000)
  • Member of the Food Committee of the Dutch Normalization Committee (NEN)
  • Member of the Technical Committee of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) now the Consumer Goods Forum
