US Official Public Hearing on Evidence for Climate Change

27th August 2009 by Madlen King

The LA Times yesterday reported the lobbying efforts of the US Chamber of Commerce, which represents approximately 3 million US businesses, requesting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to hold a full trial of the consensus on man-made climate change.

The EPA has recently stated their position that global warming poses a threat to human health, a move towards their regulation of carbon emissions under the Clean Air Act. This action by the Chamber calls for transparency in how the EPA came to their conclusions and refers to studies that challenge the global warming debate, in attempts to question the validity of regulation.
