Tropical insects first to be affected by climate change?

6th May 20081 Comment

The first victims of climate change could be Tropical insects, not the polar bears. Scientists also warned that there will be other effects of global warming that could also have a serious impact on tropical regions, particularly on food crops, as reported in The Independant, 6th May 2008.

Hi im doing a school project on the first organisms to be impacted by climate change,, ive heard armadillos, humans, coral and polar bears; but never insects! Can you perhaps provide some in-depth information with evidence as to why this would happen? Or how this is already happening?
    Thanks!
