The AA1000AS 2nd edition

15th August 2007

The AA1000AS 2nd edition The AA1000AS 2nd edition will be the world’s first mainstream corporate accountability standard to be developed using a collaborative wiki process. This will be developed in partnership with openDemocracy and will go live in October.

The 2nd edition will build on the principles-based approach and incorporate the gains that have been made in recent research on materiality, stakeholder engagement, and the integration of sustainability performance with core business performance. This new edition will set the practice benchmark for the next 4-6 years and help to define the future state of assurance.

Practitioners, researchers, standards developers, organizational users and other interested parties are invited to get involved in this exciting revision process. Involvement will provide an excellent opportunity to extend your networks, engage in new areas of research, enter into relevant discussions and gain a platform for learning for your organization.

The revision process will be anchored by a series of consultations to be held from September to December 2007.
