US Food Safety Bill passes Senate vote

The House of Representatives is not likely to being debating the bill until next year, with their approval meaning the bill would effectively pass into law, as President Obama is a vocal proponent of the bill.

LRQA certifies DP World Doraleh to ISO 28000

LRQA has certified the DP World Doraleh port to ISO 28000:2007, the global supply chain security standard.
DP World has also announced their goal of having all of their global ports certified to ISO 28000:2007 by the end of 2012.
DP World was the first organisation to be ISO 28000 certified, with their Dijibouti port being certified by LRQA in 2006.
