The certification, an advance over the Festival’s previous three-year ISO 9001: 2000 certification, makes DIFF the only known festival in the world to seek and achieve the quality management standard.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) has announced that over one million ISO 9001 certificates have now been issued globally. The latest ISO survey (published in October 2010) includes information through the end of 2009 and shows that certificates have now been issued in 178 countries.
