Money driving IT decisions, not environment

A new IT survey from Rackspace has revealed that corporations are less likely in 2008 than in 2007 to base decisions on the environmental impact.
Included in the results were: 41% of respondents would pay 5-10% more to work with a green vendor, an 11% drop from 2007. 64% said green vendors were “important”, yet not a part of their business strategy, up 5% from 2007.Interestingly, 11% of companies said responded that they are not concerned about their companies impact on the environment and believe they never will be, similar to the 12% of the 2007 results.
