Manchester City FC: football goes green with wind power Recently, Manchester City FC installed a wind turbine in their stadium grounds. When it is fully operational next year, it will supply enough energy to power the stadium and thousands of nearby homes.

Pete Bradshaw, Social Responsibility Manager for Manchester City Football Club talks about ways in which Man City FC have been leading the UK’s football clubs in tacking climate change — and at the same time highlights the importance of ’staying local’:

What we are trying to do is make sure that this is very much a Manchester thing, because football is seen very much as a global sport … but we don’t hide away from the fact that local people are important.

Pete Bradshaw will also be presenting at the Powering the UK event on the 27th September.
