ISO 22005 is the new international standard for traceability in the food and feed supply chain. Traceability is a must throughout the whole feed and food supply chain, in particular as a part of the emergency management process when quality or food safety problems with raw materials or finished products occur. I attended a standards writing meeting this week – yawn you may say – but actually it was very interesting (in parts). The meeting was about a new standard BS8901 which is about Sustainable Events Management.
