A recent CDP study has shown that the majority of large global companies have gotten the climate change message. With 76% of the world’s top 500 companies responding, the report highlighted the actions and views of those companies concerning climate change. 95% of those companies viewing climate change as a risk having already implemented a greenhouse gas reduction programme.
The report criticised the 34% of respondents who did not have a member of the board or upper management who was responsible for climate change issues.
Former President Bill Clinton gave the keynote speech in launching the results of the CDP 5 study.
