Following on from the initial LRQA Food Safety Webinar in April, 2009, the second FREE webinar features an update on: The new Global Food Safety Scheme for Food and Food Ingredient Manufacturing, FSSC 22000.
About the LRQA Webinar
Key things:
- The webinar is led by one of the world’s leading food safety experts, Cor Groenveld. Cor is the chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Food Safety Certification, the organisation responsible for the FSSC 22000 development.
- The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), whose members include the world’s largest food manufacturers and retailers, have now accepted the content of FSSC 22000. This means that FSSC 22000 certification audits can start and that organisations can begin applying for GFSI approved certification.
- Cor will be discussing what this means to organisations around the world. The webinar will also go into detail on all of the food safety management systems standards available, including ISO 22000, PAS 220 (the recently published document that addresses specific food manufacturing requirements that were not included in ISO 22000), BRC, HACCP and IFS, among others.
The focus of this webinar is providing organisations with the information needed to make responsible and informative decisions that help minimise food safety risk across the supply chain
