LRQA technical expertise assists development of PAS 223

The PAS 223 (Prerequisite programmes and design requirements for food safety in the manufacture and provision of food packaging) was published on July 1st 2011.
For the last six months, LRQA’s Cor Groenveld – Global Product Manager, Food Services – has been an integral part of a PAS 223 working group. The group has had representation from some of the world’s leading brands including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Danone, Kraft, Unilever, Rexam, O-I, AMCOR, ALPLA, and TetraPack dedicated to the development of this new standard.
