LRQA Certifies Port Said Port Authority

LRQA have certified the first two ports in Egypt; “Port Said Port Authority” and “Damietta Port Authority” to the International Standards ISO 9001: 2008 & OHSAS 18001: 2007.
The certificates were officially presented to the Port Said Port Authority Chairman, Rear Admiral/ Ibrahim Sedik, by Basem Obaid, LRQA Area Manager – MEA during an event held at the Port premises in Port-Said on 9 August 2011 in the presence of large number of the port authority staff.
During the event, both Rear Admiral/ Ibrahim Sedik and Basem Obaid exchanged souvenir tokens of both parties.
The event was attended, from LR Egypt, by Mamdouh Abdelalim, Country Manager & Manager Northern Africa and Amr Hamad, LRQA Business Manager – Egypt & North Africa.
The Client appreciated the audits & service received from LRQA and the partnership between the Port Authority and Lloyd’s Register.
