LRQA Certifies Damietta Port Authority

LRQA have certified the first two ports in Egypt; “Port Said Port Authority” and “Damietta Port Authority” to the International Standards ISO 9001: 2008 & OHSAS 18001: 2007.
The certificates were officially presented to the Damietta Port Authority Chairman, Rear Admiral/ Ibrahim Felefal, by Basem Obaid, LRQA Area Manager – MEA during an event held at the Port premises in Damietta on 10 August 2011 in the presence of large number of the port authority staff.
During the event, both Rear Admiral/ Ibrahim Felefal and Basem Obaid exchanged souvenir tokens of both parties.
The event was attended, from LR Egypt, by Mamdouh Abdelalim, Country Manager & Manager Northern Africa and Amr Hamad, LRQA Business Manager – Egypt & North Africa.
The Client appreciated the audits & service received from LRQA and the partnership between the Port Authority and Lloyd’s Register.
