This is a four piece article written by Bretta Kelly, President CIS WWSG, that describes a common sense approach of how to implement or revise an ISO 9001:2000 management system.

The article highlights misunderstandings of how to document and implement a management system. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is based on the Plan, Do, Check and Act (PDCA) principles of continual improvement. Each article highlights common myths associated with implementation of the standard and dispels them with examples of how to do things in a simpler way.
