Global market confidence boosted by new Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS)

19th November 2007 by Sarah Whitworth

The Voluntary Carbon Standard 2007 (VCS 2007), a new global carbon offset standard, launches today at the London Stock Exchange.

It aims to provide a trustworthy, robust global standard for voluntary carbon offsets. With VCS 2007, corporations, organisations and individuals will be able to ensure that their carbon offsets are from a credible source, and are not double traded or double counted.
