Organizations within the food industry are familiar with the varying array and acceptance of food safety standards across markets and country boundaries. So many in fact, that the food industry runs the risk of potentially distracting itself from the standards’ core objective: to improve food safety.
Some might say that in an ideal world one global food safety standard would exist; however, experts in the industry understand that each vertical segment within the food supply chain has specific requirements for contributing to safe food products.
Within the food manufacturing sector in particular, there has been a convergence of food safety through the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). In an effort to further drive this convergence, key industry stakeholders have worked together to harmonize a global standard for safe food manufacturing, complimenting ISO 22000.
This free, on-demand webinar introduces PAS 220, the specific pre-requisite programs to be used in conjunction with ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000, the new global standard specific to helping assure safe food manufacturing.
