First Derivatives for ETS

The first derivatives on Europe’s Emissions Trading Scheme will be launched in October.

Climate Exchange PLC unit the Europeam Climate Exchange (ECX) and London’s ICE Futures exchange expect to launch an ICE Futures ECX CFI options contract, subject to regulatory approval.

If it progresses, the contracts will mark a key point in the maturation of the exchange.
