Effective supply chain management

One of the most critical applications facing management systems, is their deployment across complex supply-chains, where the same ‘rules and processes’ will need to be adapted into different cultures and risk management frameworks.
According to advance findings from LRQA’s Setting the Agenda for Change report, to be launched next week, 61% of businesses think they would improve business effectiveness if partners adopted their systems, and 67% believe they would reduce risk. But just 40% actually encourage such sharing.
Clearly there are cultural and organisational constraints around this systems alignment.
My colleague Professor Richard Wilding has been searching for methods to disseminate complex supply chain concepts which he knows could really make a difference to both commercial and non-profit organisations.
His podcast explores the strategies and approaches of effective supply chain management.
It includes interviews with leading academics and practitioners, reviews of papers and sources of other information.
